On May 28th and 29th, representatives of the European Commission will visit BDI Biotechnology to begin evaluation of the European project, LIFE YEAST.

In the coming days, members of the European Commission and representatives of The LIFE Program, will visit the facilities of BDI Biotechnology, located in the Boecillo Technology Park.
 
LIFE YEAST is the name of the project, which was born with the aim of reusing one of the residues obtained in the brewing process and converting it into several value-added products.
It is a project financed by the European Union with the aim of contributing to the objective of the circular economy.
BDI Biotechnology is a company that offers services of development and scaling of biotechnological processes in the agri-food sector. BDI Biotechnology is also the project coordinator and together with AB InBev, the world's largest beer manufacturer, and VLPbio will execute the project.
In the coming days, members of the European Commission and representatives of The LIFE Program, will visit the facilities of BDI Biotechnology, located in the Boecillo Technology Park.
The visit will last two days, where members of the consortium will present to the commissioners with the advances that are taking place in the project, and especially how these advances will be implemented in the beer sector.
The reason for the visit is to be able to evaluate the progress of the project and see what the project is doing to contribute to the objective of the circular economy, which is supported by the European Union.
