The BioBridges project wants to respond to the challenge of improving the marketing of bio-based products (BBP) by promoting close cooperation and partnership between bio-based industries, brand owners and consumer representatives.
BioBridges also wants to involve in these alliances between bioindustries, brand owners and consumer representatives other stakeholders, such as communities and local authorities and other industrial actors, in order to establish ways of collaboration that promote marketing and the entry into the market of bioproducts. We also seek to facilitate interconnections in the sector and the creation of synergies.
Through Biobridges, methodologies, procedures and good practices that support the co-creation of new intersectoral partnerships are designed and implemented. The main challenges of the project are:
- To evaluate the level of cooperation and mutual learning between producers of bioproducts (industry and brand owners) and consumers (citizens) and identify the key factors that hinder this cooperation.
- To identify good practices on how to improve this cooperation and ensure the active participation of all stakeholders in the design of biological products.
- To identify the most relevant sectors for the bioeconomy, which demonstrate greater cooperation potential for the generation of new value chains and for the improvement of existing value chains.
