Biovoices
AseBio took part in the Biovoices project, which aimed to create and develop a bioeconomics platform involving all the stakeholders in order to promote and facilitate market access for bioproducts.
The bioeconomy is Europe’s response to the key environmental, societal and economic challenges the world is facing today. The bioeconomy is focused on reducing dependency on limited fossil-based resources and ensuring healthy and secure food production and supply.
By promoting sustainable production of renewable resources from the land, fisheries and aquaculture, and their conversion into bio-based products and bio-energy, the bioeconomy will drive growth in new jobs and industries.
With the Biovoices project, we seek to incentivise and promote a positive perception of bio-based products, getting all stakeholders in the value chain involved, because only social acceptance will encourage generalised use.
Biovoices is promoted by a consortium of thirteen organisations, including AseBio, which leads community building and identification of the key players involved. AseBio members took part in this platform as experts and joined in events held through the project, where they shared experiences with the other stakeholders.
