IdISBa's main mission is to be the entity that integrates and promotes scientific research and knowledge in health generated in the Balearic Islands, and to facilitate its transfer to improve the health of the population.
Among the objectives are the following:
- To effectively integrate the structures that make up the IdISBa in order to enable the implementation of a common scientific policy strategy that promotes research of excellence with an impact on health.
- To promote the attraction of research resources, especially human resources, and encourage their retention and professional development.
- To enhance the effective transfer of health research results to ensure the impact on the health of the population.
- To bring the results of the research carried out in the IdISBa environment closer to society.
