GloMax® Galaxy Bioluminescence Imager: Transforming Protein Dynamics Research
Promega has launched the GloMax® Galaxy Bioluminescence Imager, an innovative tool for visualizing protein dynamics in live cells using NanoLuc® technologies, eliminating the need for fluorescent systems.
Promega Corporation has launched the GloMax® Galaxy Bioluminescence Imager, a state-of-the-art benchtop instrument designed to enable real-time visualization of protein dynamics and cellular physiology in live cells. This innovative imager utilizes Promega’s NanoLuc® luciferase chemistries, streamlining workflows by eliminating the need for fluorescence-based reporter systems.
Advantages of Bioluminescence Imaging:
- Minimal background noise ensures accurate detection of low-abundance proteins.
- Enhanced signal stability reduces phototoxicity, enabling extended imaging sessions without cell damage.
- Applications include protein-protein interactions, protein degradation, and drug candidate screening.
Kristin Riching, Sr. Research Scientist at Promega, highlights: "Researchers can now use the same NanoLuc-based technologies for imaging that they’ve relied on in plate-based assays, simplifying the transition between experimental phases."
The GloMax® Galaxy is part of Promega’s extensive portfolio of detection instruments designed to address complex scientific challenges with intuitive, effective solutions.
