The controller of this website has established the following Privacy policy, which it follows in processing personal data provided by users.
Who is responsible for processing your personal data?

What is the purpose of the processing?
The data provided will be processed by AseBio for the following purposes:
- To manage requests for information and any other query made through any channel established by AseBio.
- To manage requests to join the Association and, if granted membership, to manage the relationship between the Association and the Member, in compliance with the AseBio statutes, and facilitate management of the various activities carried out by AseBio.
- To send out required correspondence under AseBio statutes and publicise activities, services and news on the Association and/or sector to comply with the association purpose as laid out in the statutes; even after the Member has left the Association.
- To subscribe to e-newsletters. If the user subscribes to any of our newsletters, to send them by electronic means.
- To publish professional data in the directory of members on this website and, if applicable, in a paper edition.
- To manage services requested of AseBio: for example, requests for grants and perks for attending fairs.
What is the lawful basis for processing your personal data?
The lawful basis for processing your personal data depends on each of the processing activities:
- To manage requests for information and any other queries: based on express consent from the user when submitting their request or query.
- To manage requests for AseBio membership: based on execution of a contract as a member of AseBio.
- To publicise activities, services and news on the Association and/or sector to comply with the association purpose as laid out in the statutes; based on the Association’s legitimate interests.
- To subscribe to e-newsletters: based on consent to receive the Association newsletter by electronic means.
- To publish professional data in the directory of members: based on execution of a contract as a member of AseBio.
- To manage services requested of AseBio: based on consent from the requesting party.
For processing activities based on consent, we hereby notify you that you may revoke said consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the consent-based processing carried out before it was revoked.
Furthermore, the consent granted for the purposes mentioned above are not interdependent, so the user may revoke consent to any one of them without affecting the rest.
Who do we disclose your data to?
AseBio offers exclusive services and benefits for its members, which may require us to disclose your data to third parties, collaborators or allies of the Association, so AseBio may disclose your personal data and other information provided to these third parties associated with the specific service requested, facilitating contact between members and these third parties.

How long do we keep your data?
The personal data provided will be kept as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and, in any case, until you request it be deleted.
Furthermore, the data will be kept for the period of time required to comply with legal obligations, for the duration of the prescription periods applicable to any liabilities arising during processing.
What rights do you have as a data subject?
You may exercise, with the exceptions and limits established in applicable regulations on data protection, the following rights:
- Right to revoke consent granted to process your personal data at any time.
- Right to access: allows the data subject to get information on whether we are processing their personal data and, if we are, to get a copy of said data.
- Right to rectification: allows you to correct any errors and modify any data we have on you that may be inaccurate or incomplete.
- Right to erasure: allows your data to be deleted or no longer processed by AseBio, except when there is a legal obligation to keep it and/or other legitimate reasons for processing prevail.
- Right to limitation of processing: under the legally established conditions, you may ask that AseBio no longer process your data and keep it only to make or defend against claims.
- Right to not be subject to automated individual decision-making, including profiling.
- Right to opposition: in certain circumstances and for reasons related to your specific situation, data subjects may oppose to the processing of their data. AseBio will stop processing the data, except when there are legitimate overriding circumstances, or it is required to make or defend against any possible claims.
- Right to data portability: allows the data subject to receive the personal data provided in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format to be given to another controller.
To do so, the user must contact the Data Protection Officer in writing with a copy of a valid photo ID indicating the rights they would like to exercise, with “PROTECCIÓN DE DATOS” in the subject line.

Furthermore, we hereby inform you of your right to lodge a claim with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.agpd.es) if you are not satisfied with the response from the data controller in exercising your rights or believe the data processing does not comply with current regulations.
