Lonza Porriño is an integrated global contract manufacturing organization (CMO) offering a complete range of therapeutic protein manufacturing services. We have the ability to provide these services in a fully scalable manner and at every stage of the development process. Our capabilities include technology transfer, analytical development and testing, scale up and cGMP manufacturing and support services.

As a Biotechnology Operational Expert, you will secure operational activities for assigned manufacturing projects in upstream or downstream areas with responsibility for manufacturing execution with regard to the safety and quality standards and on-time-in full delivery. Furthermore, you will responsible for preparation, manufacturing execution, cleaning and changeover in the assigned area.

In upstream processing (USP), you will participate in one or more defined USP sections, in Seed Train, Media Preparation and medium scale stainless steel bioreactors for mammalian cell culture. In downstream processing (DSP) you will participate in the purification of monoclonal antibodies and other therapeutic proteins for clinical and commercial manufacturing projects.

Key requirements:

  • Biotechnology, Biochemistry or related Life Science educational background and/or working experience in relevant industry (such as Pharmaceuticals/Biotechnology, Petrochemical, etc.)
  • Knowledge in either USP (such as bioreactors) or DSP units (such as chromatography)    
  • GMP understanding
  • Excellent communication skills in Spanish. English skills will be highly valued.
